Marking its 140th anniversary, Rodenstock will celebrate the “Perfect Moments of Vision” with opticians and the public during the Opti show in Munich next month. It will publish a 180-page book recounting its history and hold an exhibition in Munich's Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art. The German company was founded in Würzburg by Josef Rodenstock, a self-made man who was convinced that visual impairments were not a disease. He became famous as the optician at the court of the German Kaiser.
