Mazzucchelli is launching a new type of eco-friendly cellulosic acetate, for which it has requested international patent rights. Called M49, it makes use of cotton and wood fibers. The new thermoplastic material uses the same manufacturing process as regular acetate, and it is compatible with other polymers, including polycarbonate.
