Mister Spex has added two brick-and-mortar stores in Magdeburg and Stuttgart. These follow the stores opened in Frankfurt and Hamburg in September and in Munich, Cologne and Hannover in November. The omni-channel eyewear retailer now operates 17 physical stores in Germany and has declared its intention to have 40 stores by the end of 2020. The 90-square-meter store in Magdeburg and 100-square-meter store in Stuttgart each offer about 900 different optical frames and sunglasses. Consumers have access also to the full range of products offered by Mister Spex online, with 11,000 models from more than 150 brands. Eye tests and frame adjustments are offered free of charge. Prices for frames and sunglasses in the company's stores in Magdeburg, Munich and Stuttgart are displayed digitally, guaranteeing that online and offline prices are up to date. Mister Spex, which claims to be Europe's leading online optician, completed a round of financing for over €65 million at the end of August.
