Mister Spex opened its ninth brick-and-mortar store in Essen last month. In April, Mister Spex had already opened two new brick-and-mortar stores, one in the Main-Taunus shopping center in Sulzbach, near Frankfurt, and another one in Erfurt. In its new store in Essen, which covers 110 square meters, the German online eyewear retailer offers more than 1,000 prescription frames and sunglasses. Customers are also able to buy glasses from Mister Spex' online product offer, which comprises more than 9,000 different models and more than 70 brands. Single-vision lenses are included in the price when purchasing prescription frames. Eyesight tests and adjustments are free of charge. Customers are able to book them online. Mister Spex opened its first physical store in Berlin in February 2016, followed by a second one in the German capital in 2017 and by four other brick-and-mortar stores in Bremen, Bochum, Dortmund and Oberhausen. With the latest openings, the company operates nine physical stores in Germany and plans to open a tenth by the end of June.
