Modo has launched a new social initiative. For each pair of glasses sold, the company gives a pair to a Nepalese association that takes care of poor people with visual impairment in developing countries. Its Eco collection is made of 95 percent recycled acetate and metal, the acetate coming from the waste of eyewear producers. The metal is recycled from cars and fridges. The very latest innovation is a collection made of superfine titanium, giving a frame that weighs 6 to 8 grams. Modo will close 2014 with turnover up by 35 percent.
