Mykita, which has been selling glasses hand-made in Berlin since 2003, is now expanding to Japan. A new Mykita shop was launched in Japan last October, added to its roster of stores in Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Zurich, Monterrey and Tokyo. The stores in Monterrey, Zurich and Tokyo were all opened in 2010. Mykita works with retailers in about 60 countries worldwide. It launched its Agathe Snow collection at Opti ?11. The collection encompasses 200 pieces only, as they are limited-edition items. The mirror glasses show delicate outlines of cities or famous monuments, such as the pyramids of Gizeh in Egypt and the skyline of Manhattan. Each pair of glasses is sold in a small box with a fragment of the map of the respective city.
