Native Eyewear, a U.S. maker of polarized sport sunglasses and goggles, was absorbed into the optical group segment of A.T. Cross after its purchase was completed last week. A.T. Cross paid $17.8 million for the company, and took on about $1 million in short-term debt. Cross' optical segment previously consisted only of the Costa Del Mar brand, which generated sales of $37 million last year. Native had revenues of $11 million for 2007. Its latest product offering, which will be available next September, is a line of interchangeable polarized snow goggles.
