Nau! plans to boost its franchising program in Italy this year, while expanding in Spain, Mexico, Malta, Russia, Dubai and India. The Italian optical retailing company announced a 16 percent increase in sales at its stores to €35 million in the past year, after opening 22 new doors, 18 in Italy and four in other countries. It made a start in Iran and reinforced its position on the Spanish market with new stores in Madrid and Barcelona. Its network reached a total of 135 mono-brand stores, including 59 franchises, mostly in Italy.
