New Look Vision, Canada's largest optical retail company, has agreed to acquire substantially all of the assets of Miami-based Coco Lunette Holding, which operates principally under the Edward Beiner banner with 12 locations in Florida and an annual turnover of 15.5 million Canadian dollars (€10.6m-$11.8). No financial details were released for the deal, which is due to be closed on Jan. 2. This is the first time New Look Vision has acquired an eyewear retailer in the U.S., and the enlarged group will have a total of 390 stores. New Look Vision's third-quarter revenues rose by 2.1 percent to C$ 74.4 million (€50.9m-$56.7m), with comparable store sales up by 1.6 percent. Adjusted net earnings grew by 4.8 percent to C$ 6.9 million (€4.7m-$5.3m).
