Oakley has launched a frame that is 100 percent ecological, riding on the growing wave of enthusiasm for green products in all sectors. The frame is named after Bob Burnquist, a professional skateboarder who is an environmental activist. It is called Bob Burnquist Recycled Gascan and is made from recycled parts and sustainable materials. The acetate on the model is made from surplus material from lens manufacturing, while the motifs on the temples are made from bamboo. The Californian brand, which belongs to Luxottica, has made the case that holds the frame from fibers of organic bamboo, and the packaging is made from recycled materials and ecological inks. The retail price in Europe is around €120.
