Oakley has started up a new branding campaign that pairs artists with the Olympic athletes who inspired them. The campaign, Beyond Reason, is reflected in a specially commissioned art piece collaborated on by the artist Natalie Frank and Bryan Clay, gold medalist in the decathlon in the 2008 Olympic Games. Other athletes participating in Beyond Reason, which will continue throughout the 100 days leading up to the London Games, include Lolo Jones, sprinter from the U.S.; Kerri Walsh, American beach volleyball player; Mark Cavendish, British cyclist; Oscar Pistorius, South African sprinter; Cadel Evans, Australian cyclist; and Javier Gomez, Spanish triathlete. The art pieces inspired by the athlete's vision of what “Beyond Reason” means to them will be exhibited at the London Design Museum on July 26, the eve of the Games. Oakley is also debuting RadarLock, a performance sunglass that uses Switchlock Technology to let athletes change lenses quickly and easily to adapt to their environment.
