Oakley is looking for a new manager for Oakley Europe, the French-based company that handles its sales in France and various other neighboring countries excluding the UK and Germany following the resignation of Ly Ky last Spring. Separately, Oakley has reached a $100,000 settlement with Sungold Eyewear, a subsidiary of Gargoyles who had been accused of infringing certain Oakley patents. Gargoyles, which still has a case pending against Hobie Designs, suffered a higher net loss of $1,145,961 on 13.7 percent lower sales of $5,721,674 in the 3rd quarter ended Sept. 30.
