Okia, the Hong Kong-based eyewear frames and material producer has partnered with Sfered, a Dutch company specializing in customized eyewear technologies, to launch its first 3D printed eyewear collection. Sfered, which was founded in 2012 has developed a 3D scanning process that registers the key parameters of the wearer's face to allow for the customization of both frames and lenses through an open platform for manufacturers. Called Frameout, the collection designed by Okia also features the company's patented 360° rotating hinge developed together with Obe Präzision.
