Oliver Peoples has teamed up with Byredo, a Stockholm-based fragrance house, on a collection of sunglasses accompanied by a perfume, to showcase the expertise of both companies. The collection consists of two acetate frames offered in two color options and three lens options, and a fragrance that is offered in three bottle colors that match the sunglass lenses. The unisex sunglasses are available in semi-matte black and beige crystal with the lens colors indigo, champagne, and green. The perfume was developed by Jérôme Epinette, a French senior perfumer. The partnership between the American eyewear company and the niche fragrance brand was inspired by “synesthesia,” a neurological condition in which one sensory experience leads to a second, involuntary sensory reaction.
