Optovista has announced a series of management changes in its sales and marketing departments. Paolo Schieppati, the company's sales manager, has left Optovista to pursue new professional opportunities, effective Jan. 1. Luca Sciamanna, who has been with Optovista since 2009, has been appointed as the new sales director, with full responsibility for the company's sales strategy. Prior to Optovista, Sciamanna worked for Luxottica and Marchon, also in the commercial department. Additionally, Optovista has announced the arrival of Tiziana Signore as its new director of marketing and communications. The Italian firm said 2015 will be full of new developments, many of which will be announced at the upcoming Mido in Milan. Based near Bologna, Optovista was established in 1993 through the merger of Pettazzoni and Bordini, two Italian companies with a long-standing reputation in the optical sector.
