Peter Watson, a member of the original management team who catapulted Vision Express and Specsavers into national brands, is now applying his entrepreneural wisdom to the world of animal pets. Watson has launch a new chain, VETS4PETS, with the first two veterinary surgeries in Bradford and Bramley, Leeds. Watson wants to expand the chain to 130 outlets in Britain within 4 years, then build the company to 320 branches and float it on the stock exchange. He says he wants to introduce modernity, as he did at Specsavers and Vision Express, scraping the boring atmosphere of most surgeries and making them light and fun. Watson and his team will also provide business training for vets, where he feels there is a big gap.
