Piero Massaro received the special jury prize at the 2014 Silmo d'Or, for the extreme accuracy with which the designer-producer follows every step of the craftsmanship that goes into producing a luxury product made of exclusive materials. Every single frame is handled 480 times. They retail at €350, and €500 for pairs with very special features. The frames are made exclusively of cellulose acetate, made not from oil but from cotton fiber. The most precious Rhodoid cotton is used, to obtain the most surprising chromatic and three-dimensional effects with particularly brightness and transparency. The frames are not varnished, and the lenses for the sunglasses are the best Barberini mineral lenses. Production is limited to 100 per color. Massaro has an agent for Australia, Germany and Benelux and two for France.
