Prevent Blindness has named Jeff Todd as its new president and chief executive. His appointment, effective April 1, will follow the retirement of Hugh R. Parry, who has served as president and chief executive of the organization since 2002. Todd has been with Prevent Blindness since 2003, when he joined as director of public health. He later served at Prevent Blindness as chief operating officer. He began his career in the Governor's Office of the State of Indiana, where he coordinated a community-development initiative for the state-wide promotion of health and safety interventions. He later worked at the Center for Youth as Resources, in Washington D.C., where he engaged young people to positively connect to their communities. He has also worked for the National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center, where he oversaw information dissemination aimed at reducing rates of violence among young people.
