Pro Fit Optix, the Texas-based manufacturer and lens technology company headed up by Rudolph Suter, has filed for bankruptcy protection and plans to reorganize. It said the bankruptcy was the result of «an aggressive proxy fight» with Carpathian Resources, its Australian parent company. Financial difficulties faced by its investors have limited its growth opportunities recently. Pro Fit will continue operations as normal while it works on its restructuring plan. The company claims that an unnamed secured creditor has promised it a seven-figure advance of additional capital to keep it running.
