Safilo’s unit Blenders Eyewear of San Diego, California, has launched its winter collection, called Snow 2021, with new goggles and the company’s first accessories and helmets. There are 26 goggle models, 13 each in two collections called Aura and Nebula. All have been designed in consultation with Blenders athletes, among them the snowboarders Jessika Jenson and Cam FitzPatrick, and all ship with a matching rigid zip-case, a Mellow Yellow low-light lens, a sticker pack and a lifetime warranty. Interchangeable spare lenses are available for purchase. Aura goggles ($95 per pair) come with a refined magnetic lens-interchange system, over-the-glass (OTG) integration and a spare lowlight lens. They are designed to be worn with helmets and have high-density foam. Nebula lenses ($120) have a toric lens, a thick lens rim, improved anti-fog properties, direct integration of strap and body, a lens-locking mechanism at each side of the frame, three-layer face foam, anti-scratch and oleophobic coatings, the Magnetic Interchangeable Lens System and a spare lowlight lens. The helmets ($125) come in five colorways, meet the ASTM F2040-18 standard, and have the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS), Fidlock buckles, active venting and integrated bluetooth speakers. The collection also includes waffle-knit beanies ($20) and moisture-wicking, antimicrobial polyester-mesh neck gaiters and balaclavas ($25).
