De Rigo and Fila Luxembourg, holder of the FILA brand rights, have agreed to renew the license agreement for the design, production and distribution of FILA eyeglasses and sunglasses in EMEA, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. The Italian eyewear maker and the sports and lifestyle brand have been partners since 1996 and, according to De Rigo, sales of FILA-branded eyewear rose by 9 percent last year in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic, driven by good results in Europe and the Americas. De Rigo currenly runs a portfolio of 15 licensed brands, including Chopard, Furla, Escada or Zadig & Voltaire among others, and recently signed new agreements with Tumi, a brand of high-end luggage, and the Swiss-based fashion house Philipp Plein. The Italian group also operates three house brands, notably its historical Police label launched in 1983.
