Tumi, a high-end brand of travel and business accessories, has signed with De Rigo an exclusive agreement for the design, production and distribution of sunglasses and prescription frames for both men and women.

The collection is set to debut at Vision Expo East, scheduled for March 18-21, prior to its global launch in May 2021.

The collection will be distributed through De Rigo’s sales network, as well as select Tumi stores and e-commerce sites globally. The distribution agreement with De Rigo applies to North and Central America as well as Asia but can be extended to other markets.

Tumi was effectively already part of De Rigo’s license portfolio after the Italian eyewear company took over the American company REM Eyewear in June 2016. REM then merged with De Rigo’s U.S. sales subsidiary to form De Rigo REM, which is based in Sun Valley, California.

In 2011, Tumi and REM announced an eight-year partnership that started in January 2012 with the launch of a sunglass collection, followed a few weeks later by the launch of optical frames.
