Italia Independent has entered a two-year licensing agreement with Enea Bastianini, a promising young Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer.

Bastianini won the 2020 Moto2 World Championship and has signed with Esponsorama Racing for the 2021 MotoGP season.

The partnership with Bastianini will lead to the launch of a new line of eyewear, on which Italia Independent founder Lapo Elkann is working directly. The collection is expected to be presented in the coming weeks and to be launched in the second half of 2021.

The company’s chief executive, Marco Cordeddu, said that the partnership will allow Italia Independent to be closer to the “world of sport” and young people, as well as help it achieve the goals of its business plan to 2024, when it expects to post annual sales of €42 million.
