Mondottica International and the fashion brand Vivienne Westwood announced this week the signature of a 5-year license agreement for the design, production and the global distribution of Vivienne Westwood branded eyeglasses and sunglasses for men and women. The Korean and Asian collections will be launched this summer while the international sunglass collection will kick off with the SS22 season. This new licensing deal is the first major announcement since the change of ownership at Mondottica International in October last year. Vivienne Westwood joins the wide Mondottica portfolio of fashion and lifestyle brands that currently includes Anna Sui, Cath Kidston, Christian Lacroix Ducati, Hackett London, Joules, Karen Millen, le coq sportif, Maje, Pepe Jeans, Sandro, Scotch & Soda, Sergio Tacchini, Ted Baker (except for the U.S. and Canada) and United Colors of Benetton. The British fashion brand, associated with the punk culture since its launch in the 1970s in London, was previously licensed to the Italian eyewear company Allison.
