FENDI, the Italian luxury brand, and Thélios, the joint venture between LVMH and Marcolin, have signed an exclusive license for the design, production and distribution of Fendi-branded eyewear. The first release under this collaboration is the Fall/Winter 2021 collection of sunglasses and eyeglasses, which will be available in FENDI stores and e-commerce websites as well as in Thélios’ selective distribution network in July. FENDI, a brand founded in 1925 in Rome and a part of LVMH Fashion & Leather Goods’ portfolio since 2001, is currently under the supervision of Andrea Guerra, former CEO of the Luxottica group who was reportedly appointed to Thélios’ board of directors earlier this year. The FENDI brand was previously licensed to Safilo for eyewear products.
