Rem Eyewear has signed a five-year licensing agreement with Jonathan Adler, the American home designer and author, to make and distribute women's eyewear. The collection will take design details from furniture design, such as campaign hardware, and apply them to eyewear. Circular temple tips are branded “JA,” and custom acetate has been developed for the brand. The collection will include sunglasses, readers and optical frames. It will launch in March 2015 at optical and department stores and will be distributed globally. Rem's portfolio of brands includes Converse, John Varvatos, Lucky Brand, Tumi, Jones New York, and Cosmopolitan, in addition to its house brands of Visualites, Surface, Lipstick and Indie. Adler's assortment of fashion accessories already includes handbags, scarves, wallets, men's neckwear, and socks for men, women and children. There are more than 25 Jonathan Adler stores worldwide, an e-commerce site, and a wholesale business boasting more than 1,000 locations globally.
