VSP Global announced that it would add Carl Zeiss Vision and HOYA Vision Care lenses and treatments into its VSP Global Premier Program starting July 1, in addition to its own VSP Optics products. The decision comes after the VSP network’s doctors asked for a broader range of lens options, according to Michelle Skinner, CEO of the vision care health insurance company. The Premier Program is a plan to provide business-building benefits to eye doctors through increased patient traffic, career planning, training and other features. According to the company, roughly 53 million patients have visited a Premier Program member for their eye care and the program has delivered more than $15 billion worth of revenues in the last seven years. VSP Global, which also owns Marchon, boasts nearly 90 million members and a network of 40,000 doctors worldwide.
