Robert E. Grant will be the new chief executive and president of Bausch + Lomb's global surgical business effective Aug. 1. He comes from Allergan, where he was most recently corporate vice president and president for Allergan Medical. J. Andy Corley, who is currently head of the surgical division, will be moving to the position of senior adviser to Brent Saunders, Bausch + Lomb's chief executive, and his top leadership team. In addition, Rodney W. Unsworth is the new president of the Asia-Pacific region for Bausch + Lomb. From 2004-09, Unsworth was the president of the same region for Schering-Plough Corporation, before it merged with Merck, and before that he was president of the Asia-Pacific region for Pharmacia. He takes the place of David Edwards, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.
