Safilo has split brand management between Vladimiro Baldin and a newly appointed chief executive, Angelo Trocchia, following the departure of Stefano Biondo. Baldin is in charge of of the group's licenses as chief licensed brands and global product officer, while Trocchia supervises Safilo's proprietary brands - on an interim basis. Biondo became chief executive of the Italian fashion house Marni on May 15, replacing Ubaldo Minelli, who in turn was promoted CEO of Marni's parent company, OTB, which owns Diesel, Maison Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Paula Cademartori, Staff International and Brave Kid. Biondo spent 15 years at Safilo. For the past two years, he was the group's chief brand officer.
