Safilo is reducing its workforce ahead of the loss of the Dior license at the end of 2020. The group plans to cut more than 200 jobs at its Italian factories in Longarone, Santa Maria di Sala, Martignacco and Padua, which employ a combined 2,700 people. The downsizing includes the cut of 95 jobs already enacted in Longarone and Santa Maria di Sala. The group is still negotiating the layoff of 80 employees in Padua and 30 at Martignacco.
