Sales Up, Net Income Down For Shamir
Shamir Optical Industry saw a 16.8 percent increase in its third-quarter revenues to $36.1 million, and gross profit went up by 17.5 percent to $19.0 million, but the company nonetheless had a decline in operating income and net income for the period, ended Sept. 30.
