Signature Eyewear reduced its pre-tax losses to $371,000 for the year ended last Oct. 31 from $625,000 in the previous year. Sales dropped by 6.1 percent to $23.6 million. While its business with independent US retailers increased, it declined with the major national chains and in foreign markets.
