Signature Eyewear saw sales fall by 7.8 percent to $5.9 million for the third quarter ended July 31, and net income decreased by 11.9 percent to $155,000. For the first nine months of the year, sales went down by 3.2 percent to $18.0 million, but net profit increased by 5.9 percent to $570,000. The Los Angeles-based company said that sales were affected by the global recession, and while sales in the U.S. were level, those outside the domestic market faltered.
