SILMO, the fair opening in Paris tomorrow, will see the return of Alain Mikli to the show and the presence of some of the major French buying and franchising groups with their own stands for the first time. It will feature a new exhibition and information space called ?Sunshine Attitude,? devoted to solar frames. It will promote three trends: ?Chic?, ?No stress? and ?Be Happy.? SILMO has also refashioned its ?Village des Créateurs? ? or ?Designers' Village.? Split into two themes, one part will show off in bright colors and in a fashionable style, while the other part will be more urban-oriented and subdued. Assindustria Belluno is sending over 17 small and medium-sized eyewear companies with the financial support of the Veneto region, and foreign clients visiting their stands will be given a book about the Dolomite mountains.
