Specsavers has been named as the leading online performer in the U.K. glasses retail sector in a recent marketing study by Inside Online, a digital marketing agency with offices in Chester and London. The 2018 Glasses Retailer Market Performance Report ranks 49 websites according to their online performance, which is measured based on elements such as brand reach score, search engine optimization visibility and link authority score. Despite a 20 percent drop in visibility as compared to last year, the specsavers.co.uk website topped the ranking, with 550,000 monthly searches, followed by visionexpress.com and glassesdirect.co.uk in joint second place with 135,000 brand searches every month. The top five is completed by tescoopticians.com with 60,500 monthly searches and sunglasshut.com with 49,500.
