Specsavers has bought the Finnish optical chain Eyen, whose 26 stores will help the British chain expand in Helsinki, Vantag and Tampere and into more than 20 new towns in cities in Finland. The British optical retail group says it has plans for five more stores in the country. The company, which opened its first shop in Finland in mid-2007, claims to be closing in on its goal of being market leader in that country, where it plans to have 90 stores by March.
