Standard Ethics has assigned an “EE-” rating to EssilorLuxottica, indicating that the group's sustainability strategies and extra-financial reporting appear to be adequately aligned with the international voluntary guidelines proposed by the United Nations, the OECD and the European Union. It noted that, following the merger of Essilor and Luxottica, “a specific corporate governance model has been implemented with a duration to 2021.” This model envisages equal powers between the management of the two companies. Standard Ethics said that it will carefully analyze the future governance model when the current agreement expires. Standard Ethics's ratings range from a high of “EEE” to a low “F.” “EE-“ is the lowest rating in the investment grade tier.
