Targeting the promising markets of Eastern Europe, particularly those that joined the European Union last May, Cutler & Gross has appointed Andy Hislop as its agent for Latvia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. He is already familiar with the markets of these three countries since he has been representing the Cazal brand over there, enabling him to establish key business contacts. The British company, which sells to 40 countries worldwide, made wholesale revenues for glasses of £250,000 (€350,000-$480,000) for the first six months of 2004, which it described as a slow season, and is expecting wholesale revenues of £600,000 (€850,000-$1,160,000) for the full year of 2004. It is aiming for total group revenues of £1.7 million (€2.4m-$3.3m)for the year.
