TD Tom Davies organized creative labs for the first time during the Opti trade show held in Munich on Jan. 10-12. In the creative labs, which will account for 50 percent of the company's trade show business in the future, opticians have the chance to work directly with Tom Davies and his team, learning how to design their own in-store collections. The idea is to provide opticians, who know their clientele best, with the opportunity to create their own designs for their customers. TD Tom Davies will convert the ideas to engineering drawings and order them at its own factory in China for the opticians to stock them in their stores about two-three weeks after the show. The creative labs will be rolled out during 2014 at various trade show around the world. They have different levels for beginners and experts.
