The 2016 edition of DaTE, which took place at The Mall in Milan on Oct. 1-3, posted a 38 percent increase in visitors compared with last year. The cutting-edge eyewear show welcomed creations by more than 100 companies representing 170 brands from all over the world. The event featured three themed sections called Millennials, with the newest brands inspired by street-style, Icons, dedicated to avant-garde designers, and Luxury, for creations focusing on luxury and exclusivity. In 2017, DaTE will move to the Leopolda in Florence, a location that was said to be chosen for the spirit of creativity and originality it embodies, in accordance with the spirit of the eyewear show itself. The 2017 edition will take place on Sept-23-25, to coincide with Milan fashion week.
