The Advertising Standards Authority in the U.K. has ruled that Specsavers must not air two national ads anymore. Both of the ads, out last year, urged customers to save a specific amount of money on contact lenses by switching from Boots to Specsavers. Boots complained, saying that Specsavers was citing incorrect prices for its products. Specsavers countered that it had called certain Boots stores to get the prices, but the ASA said that evidence was inadequate.
