The biggest German online retailer, Mister Spex, is expanding its cooperation with physical stores to the Dutch market. Customers of Mister Spex in the Netherlands can now get their refraction, glasses and contact lenses fitted by local partner opticians when they order a pair through its website. Up to now, only partner opticians in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have been offering eyesight tests and other services in behalf of Mister Spex. The network of opticians in the German-speaking markets cooperating with the German online retailer has reached a total of 550 points of sale. Mister Spex starts in the Netherlands with 20  opticians. Eyesight tests can be done for a charge of €9.90, which will be reimbursed when placing a follow-up order at Mister Spex' online store. Mister Spex have been available in the Netherlands since June 30, 2015. The German online retailer started a partnership program with 23 German opticians running a total of 30 stores in mid-2011. In addition to payment for services performed, the opticians receive a share of the turnover and act as exclusive partners in their area.
