The Cooper Companies, parent company of CooperVision, announces that it has reached an agreement in principle to settle all the claims in a class action suit brought on behalf of a group of stockholders who purchased shares in the company between July 2004 and November 2005. Cooper said it will record a charge of $27.0 million for the settlement in its quarterly results through April 30. The settlement is subject to final approval by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, which has been hearing the case.
