The Cross Optical Group of A.T. Cross Company, which consists mainly of the Costa and Native brands of eyewear, grew by 19.6 percent to $18 million in the third quarter ended Oct. 1. This helped the A.T. Cross group to raise its total revenues by 14.8 percent to $43.8 million for the period, ending up with net income of $1.9 million against $1.6 million a year ago. The company also announced the repurchase of 47,867 of its own shares during the quarter. A.T. Cross has bought back about 20 percent of its shares since December 2009.
