The Federation of Manufacturing Opticians has appointed Andrew Actman as new vice chairman. Actman, who set up his eponymous company in 1986, has been chairman of the Optical Frame Importers and Manufacturers Association for the past year. He will work with FMO's chairman, Malcolm Polley, on various new initiatives, possibly including the organization of a new optical show in London in 2006, alternating with the biannual Optrafair that will again be held in Birmingham in 2005, from Apr. 16 to Apr. 18.
