The Financial Times reports that Amazon is developing smart glasses for a s possible launch before the end of the year. Unlike to previous projects by other internet players, the internet retail giant's device would look like a normal pair of glasses and focus on audio rather than displaying information directly on the lenses. According to inside sources quoted by the British newspaper, the glasses would come equipped with Alexa, the group's artificial intelligence assistant, and could be connected to a smartpho ne. The wearer of the glasses would be able to ask questions and hear Alexa's answers through a bone-conduction system in the device, so without headphones, as sounds are naturally transmitted to the inner ear by the skull's bones.
