The Italian sports eyewear and goggle manufacturer Salice increased sales to €5.1 million in 2009 from €4.4 million a year earlier, largely thanks to the development of the brand in the domestic market. Italian sales jumped to €3.3 million from €2.7 million and international revenues increased to €1.8 million from €1.7 million. The company focused its advertising and promotion efforts on the sports channel Eurosport, skiing schools and athletes' endorsements, such as the Italian cyclist Stefano Garzelli.
