The Italian subsidiary of CooperVision has decided to halve its staff of around 100 employees at its logistics center in Lainate in northwest Milan, according to B2Eyes. The plan is to create a logistic hub in the town of Liège, in Belgium, for the whole European market. The reorganization is aimed at increasing efficiency and is going to affect operations in other countries as well. With the closure of the Lainate site, CooperVision will also relocate its management and administrative offices, which should to take on some of the Lainate staff.
