The Japanese company Motion Portrait exhibited for the first time at Opti this year. The company offers its clients the license of an ASP service that end consumers can use to virtually try on eyeglasses. The software is targeted at eyewear shops and e-commerce sites. Clients “try on” different glasses by uploading a facial photograph. The company already has some existing clients in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. One of its biggest clients is the Japanese company Megane Super. The company has no competition in Asia yet, whereas in Europe, one of the company's biggest competitors is FittingBox from France.
