The Michael Pachleitner Group (MPG) has appointed Eden Palm as head of international sales for its Red Bull Spect Eyewear brand of functional sunglasses and goggles. He is replacing Christian Höferl, who is now working as international sales manager for the other brands of the group, including private brands like Spect Eyewear and licensed brands like Daniel Hechter and H.I.S. Palm was previously working as sales manager for the U.K. at Alpinestars, an Italian manufacturer of high-performance protective gear for motorcycle and car racing. A new brand manager for the Red Bull Spect Eyewear brand will start next week. Red Bull Spect Eyewear presented its new “gravity” line at the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen last week. The gravity models are made from one single piece of nylon material, including frame and lenses, priced at €145 for end consumers and available in stores in 2-3 weeks. MPG extended its Red Bull Eyewear license for 10 years in mid-2016. The Red Bull Spect eyewear brand will be sold directly in Italy from now on. It is already sold directly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. MPG plans to set up its own offices for the brand in the U.S. and Australia in the near future.
